Publicize – Images in Posts to Facebook/Twitter only
-
I have a question, and I apologize in advance if I am in the wrong area. I am using Fluida theme and having a problem with Publicize. If I add a featured image it adds the image to the individual posts on the page (which I do not want) and adds the image to the automatic post to my twitter posts and facebook posts (I do want this).
I want to disable the post to my actual site, but keep the image on the facebook and twitter post. How would I go about doing this?
Thanks
Bernard

Hi Bernard,
You could use some custom CSS to hide the featured image from your posts. The code for the underlying image would then remain and it would be possible for social networks, such as Twitter and Facebook, to share.
As a note: This forum is intended for folk who have their sites hosted here at WordPress.com while your site at goodscrumbadscrum.com is hosted with another company and running on the free software available here at WordPress.org.
The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is an understandable and common point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.
As your site is hosted elsewhere, the theme’s dedicated support forum is a better place for you to go for the specific CSS that you need:
Hope that helps to point you in the right direction and best of luck. :)
