Publicize is duplicating posts

Hi! I’ve had issues with Jetpack Publicize double posting some (but not all) Facebook and Twitter posts. This about a one month old instance running the Tagdiv Newspaper theme and nothing crazy (i.e. no post duplication plugins). What could be causing this?

It looks like you may be using a social sharing plugin (Social Media Auto Publish) in addition to Publicize, which could cause a conflict. It would be worth deactivating that plugin to see whether duplicate share still happen afterwards.

Hello!
The Social Media Auto Publish add on was installed for me to look for alternatives to Jetpack, so it’s not possible for that to have been the root cause of the duplicate posts. Of course, I’ve been deleting the duplicates as they’ve been posting, so the historical evidence isn’t in my Twitter or Facebook feeds either.
