Publicize keeps asking if I want to follow @wordpressdotcom

    How do I deactivate this? It’s quite annoying that every time I share a post on Twitter I get asked to follow @wordpressdotcom. I don’t want to follow you and I think it’s annoying that I get it asked every time I share a post. It makes me think that it might be better sharing posts without the using Publicize.
    I understand that wordpress.com wants to advertise their twitter but it’s really annoying if you ask EVERY SINGLE TIME. So please tell me how to turn it off.

    Hello csonnek,
    Thanks for your reply but what does my problem have to do with my blog?
    I am not talking about my blog here.
    When I share wordpress.com blogs from my reader on Twitter then I get asked EVERY TIME if I want to follow @wordpressdotcom.
    What does this have to do with my self-hosted website?

    You didn’t mention sharing other blog’s content, so I assumed you meant your own self-hosted blog’s content – my mistake.

    The notification comes from Twitter, not WordPress.com.

    By sharing something hosted on WordPress.com, Twitter assumes that since you’re sharing it that you might also be interested in following the user account that hosts the content – in this case, @wordpressdotcom. To make Twitter stop asking, you can either follow the account or you can just ignore the notification going forward.

    If you don’t want ignore this notification, you can contact Twitter support by visiting this link and see if they can do anything else:
