Publicize post to Twitter

    In the Publish area on my blog, I customized the message I wanted publicized to Twitter. After I clicked Publish, I expected my customized message to appear as a tweet in Twitter, but it didn’t. All that appeared in the tweet was my H1 heading and a link to my post.

    What might I have done wrong? What do I have to do to get my customized message to be what is tweeted?

    Are you sharing your posts on Twitter automatically when they’re published or afterward?

    What happens when you re-share a post? Here’s a screenshot of what I mean:

    When I was done working on my post, I clicked Document then “Publish …”. In the Publish area, I customized my message and then clicked Publish again. In “Share this post,” my Twitter setting was active.
