Publicize posting a custom message different than what I provide

This is so frustrating! I don’t like how it looks on my fb page when it posts the URL under my custom message. In the past, I simply deleted the URL that was automatically entered by WordPress in the Custom Message box. Suddenly that doesn’t work anymore, and after each post I have to go to my facebook page and edit. Is there some way to get around this? It’s slightly worse than not even having the option of having no message at all.

If you can post the respective FB entry to one of your posts that isn’t behaving as you expect, that will help.
