Publicize (Sharing) not working

    So, a new post I completed and published today for immediate publication is not going out to LinkedIn nor Facebook.

    I have it selected these in the “Settings” section and selected them in the new interface under “Sharing”.

  • Hi Jeff. Publicize is not working from the “new interface” as you call it. Staff is aware of the issue, but there’s so many problems with that editor it’s anybody’s guess how long it will take to get fixed.

    I suggest you rather use the dashboard editor that can be found at Posts ->Add New in the dashboard. For an already published post, try the following: Go to Posts ->All Posts. Click Edit under the post title on that screen. Set the post to draft, update, make sure your Publicize boxes are checked, and publish again.

    Let us know if that doesn’t work either.

    I’m having this same issue. If you set the post to draft and update it and republish, won’t you lose any comments and likes you’ve already received?

    You won’t lose your comments and I’m pretty sure you won’t lose likes either, but I’ve never specifically checked that. If you don’t want to risk it you can always manually share your post on your social media accounts and then make sure you compose any new post on the dashboard editor, at least until the new editor is fixed.
