trying to set up email subscription option with feedburner and the instructions all try to direct me to the “publicize tab” which I can’t locate anywhere… any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Feedburner is now Google and since the switchover, I have not been able to access my feedburner stuff at all. I can’t manage my subscriptions, I can’t transfer them, I can’t see them. All I can do is dream of them.
I’m looking for another solution. Google is just far too much of a PITA to deal with.

Really, Richard? Are you using the new url to get there? http://google.feedburner.com/
It redirects to a ridiculously long url at google accounts.

When I go through Google to try and transfer things over, on the second step where I’m supposed to put in my feedburner username and password, it won’t accept them at all, and if I try to use the help/contact stuff I wants me to put in my adsense code before it will allow me to contact them. I don’t have adsense, and never will so I’m not about to sign up for it.

Whoops! Probably would have helped if I hadn’t relied on memory. *blush*

If the real link doesn’t work, try switching your account to a different email. I didn’t have domain email when I signed up for fb but when I transferred the account I changed to that. I think it was step 1 or an early option in the process.

Were you ever able to reach this page?
http://www.google.com/support/feedburner/
There’s always feedblitz, but I seem to think it’s not entirely free.

Okay, I just signed up for an email sub on your blog (must go back for that latest post!) and I see it’s using the transferred url. Your new rss feed should have a 2, ie instead of feeds.feedburner.com/whatever more you had it would be feeds2.feedburner.com/etc
-
I can reach that page but it isn’t any use really. It just explains how to do it, but if I cannot log in, I cannot do it.
The email subscription still works just fine, I just can’t administer anything, and I’ve never worried about the feedburner feed stuff.

I “Googled” and found an actual email link to feedburner support in a blog post and have contacted them. From the stuff they sent back to me, the only way I can transfer is to sign up for adsense (although I don’t have to use it) to be able to transfer my stuff over.
This is far too much of a pain in the ass to be worth it and it is obvious that all Google wanted feedburner for was another avenue to make money for them.

Google was giving a time limit to transfer before ad sense would be required
to transfer your acct. -
How sweet of them, but I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. They simply will not recognize my feedburner username and password and it’s the one I’ve always used.

Help! I am trying to follow the directions at google and they say to find the Publicize tab. I saw where you said to sign in. I tried this and I am still lost. Can you help?
