Publicize to Facebook Thumbnail

  I’ve done some searches trying to find the answer to a specific question, but have had no luck.

  I don’t use featured images on the theme I am using, and most of my posts don’t have images associated/attached. Is there any way to avoid the blank thumbnail box on Facebook when it can’t find an image? Or is WP supposed to insert the account picture when no featured or in post pictures can be located?

  Is there an explanation someplace of the order that publicize uses for picture selection to send to FB?

  There is no such explanation because FB keeps changing the way they pull images. I wish they’d stop.

  Thanks for letting me know. Given that my posts generally dont have images, the easiest way to publicize is to just copy the URL of the WP post, paste it in a new FB post, then select ‘No Thumbnail’.

  If you have a blavatar, it SHOULD technically pick that, but it doesn’t always.
