Publicize to Tumblr changed behavior?
-
I’ve been using Publicize to promote my posts on Tumblr for some months now. Since I started, my text posts with a featured image (always the first thing in the post) have been sent to Tumblr as an Image post.
Example: http://tparadox.tumblr.com/post/76617055217/yesterdays-movies-playtests-small-soldiers-view
However, today a post formatted in exactly the same way as all the others went to Tumblr as a text post with the featured image linked inside the text. I’ve gotten to like the image post style, so I deleted it and built an image post manually. Did Publicize just change this, or is there something I overlooked?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oops, didn’t see the field to select which blog. It’s yesterdaysmovies.wordpress.com
And here’s the post that went to Tumblr as a text post: http://yesterdaysmovies.wordpress.com/2014/02/20/the-hard-way/

The same thing has happened to me. It’s so annoying. You lose the impact of the featured imagine because it becomes hidden in the Tumblr dashboard feed unless readers click on it.
It was all fine until three days ago. One day it posted normally as an image post, the next day everything started to go as text posts. I

I also just noticed the link at the bottom now says “View on WordPress” rather than “View Post”

Same problem here. It’s compounded, though, by another annoying change. When you DO click the image to ‘view in WordPress’, it goes from blank gray square icons, to a duplicate image.
One small, one large. The same image, twice. My Tumblr site now has double images for every post. It’s horrible.
How to address this? Tumblr’s tools are limited, I don’t see any way to make adjustments to formatting. And can’t tell if it can be addressed from the WordPress side, or Tumblr side.

I’m having issues with videos. They don’t show on Tumblr. There’s only the empty space where the player should be, but it doesn’t show up, neither on the dashboard or the blog.
