Publicize to Twitter not working

    I am trying to publicize my blog via Twitter and when I try to authorize WP access to my Twitter account, I get an error message that says the token has already been used and the page I’m looking for doesn’t exist. I’ve tried to do this authorization from different computers and different IP addresses, and nothing seems to be working. Help!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Did you by chance try to use it on a scheduled post? When the post goes up on a different day than it was written, that can sometimes cause some odd problems.

    designsimply: thank you, but I’ve already tried the steps in the link you provided several times, with the same results as described in my original post.

    raincoaster: I was not using it on a scheduled post. Rather, I am trying to authorize my entire blog to access Twitter and not just an individual post.

    Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Okay, I just found another thread on the same topic and one of the posters there gave a suggestion that seemed to work for me for now:

    1. Go to My Blogs and deselected the option to publicize the blog on Twitter
    2. Wait for the system to recognize that you’ve deselected the publicize to Twitter option (you’ll know when the request to authorize access goes away)
    3. Log out of WP and close browser window to clear cache
    4. Open a new browser window and log into the Twitter account you want to connect to your WP account
    5. Open a second browser window and log into WP
    6. Go to My Blogs and select the option to publicize the blog on Twitter
    7. Wait for the system to recognize that you’ve selected the publicize to Twitter option (you’ll know when you get a pop-up window to request authorization to access your Twitter account)
    8. Follow prompts to access Twitter account
