Publicize Twitter posting the url twice?

    Hi,

    I leverage the publicize feature to post out notifications via Twitter, Facebook and Messenger when a new post is posted. I am seeing that with the Twitter notifications only the short URL for the blog post is being repeated at the end of the message and in some cases cutting off the hashtags I added manually.

    This only started happening a couple of months ago, but is becoming more and more annoying. Other friends who use the same capabilities are seeing the same behaviour.

    Is there any way to stop this?

    Hi. I suggest you report this to staff directly, and provide them with examples of tweets displaying the URL twice:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    I noticed that, more often than not, in the Publicize box (where you enter your custom message), the short URL would be absent, but would automatically be added at the time of tweeting. Maybe this has to do with it…?
