Publicize using Whatsapp

  I have seen in many WordPress powered blogs/websites that Whatsapp has been used as a mean to publicize the blog posts. I too want to do the same. However, in the Settings, there is no way to connect to Whatsapp. How can I do this in a free plan WordPress website?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, you can add WhatsApp as a sharing button to your posts but not autoposting via Publicize.

  Thanks a lot Jennifer. I could finally add the WhatsApp sharing button. But when I tried to share one of my post using WhatsApp button, a blank webpage appears. I don’t understand what happens then.

  Hi again, Are you using WhatsApp web (logged in) or the mobile app?

  I just visited your site on my Android phone and clicked the WhatsApp share button on one of your posts. For me that opened the WhatsApp mobile app to select with which contact I want to share your post.

  Hi, How can I add a whatsapp button / picture / widget in my page.

  For the user ( phone/ Web ) easier to contact me by whatsapp…thanks.

  Hello there @coolstylisthk, WhatsApp is connected to your personal mobile phone number so I don’t even think that’s a good idea. Regardless, there is no such function available here on WordPressdotcom.
