Publicize when posting from the main menu bar . . .

Publicize is not working when posting from the menu bar. When I use the full editor within the specific blog, it works fine.
From the main menu bar, I select “new post,” select the post type and blog, create post, and then publish. (It does not publicize) I can go into edit the post from within the specific blog, edit publicize, select the services, and update post, and it still does not publicize.
If I create the post in the full editor within the specific blog, publicize works as expected.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jerome – I can’t reproduce this problem. Publicize works fine for me when I publish from the menu bar. Can you please try refreshing your publicize connections and then test this again?

I’m using Chrome on a Mac . . . I have cleared cache, reset connections, etc., just posted from the menu bar, and it did not publicize.
My next test will be to try Safari to see if it is a Chrome issue . . .
All posts with the full editor work fine with publicize, even scheduled posts.
I’ll post the results after I try Safari . . .

I tried the same post on Safari and had the same results . . It did not publicize.
Posting from within the full editor does publicize correctly . . .

Next Test . . .
I took the post that did not publicize, and from within the full editor moved it back to draft. Even though it had showed as publicized in the right side information block, upon moving it to Draft, no publicize connections were checked. I had to edit publicize, check the boxes, publish, and then publicize worked as expected.
So I have to hit “publish” from within the full editor to get publicize to work as expected. I can create from the menu bar, but I have to save as draft, and then publish from the full text editor.

Hi Jerome – Strange. I don’t have any problems on my end. Do you choose a particular post format when you post from the admin bar? Do your posts publicize if you post from the WordPress.com homepage here:
http://wordpress.com/post/Have you always had this problem or did it just start recently? I see you have a Google+ connection – did you notice this after you connected that?

The home page is where I am having the issue . . . that is where the post generates from if you select new post from the menu bar.
I have tried several formats with the same results, picture, video, quote.
The google+ is a great question . . . I have not posted much from the home screen post until I just launched my new blog. On my other blog, I embed more code . . so it’s easier to do from the full editor.
I will try removing the google+ connection to see if it works without that connection . . .

Hi Jerome – I’m able to reproduce this from the homepage with a Google+ connection activated. I’ve opened a bug report on this issue and will keep you updated when I have more information.
In the meantime, if you publish from your Dashboard here, your posts should publicize:
