Publicizes when I don’t want it to

  I opted to publicize my blog through twitter and Facebook, but I don’t want to do it every time. Even after I uncheck the boxes on the publicize menu (in New Post screen) it will still publicize to FB and Twitter. Is this normal? Or is there another way I’m supposed to opt-out for individual posts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Frankly I don’t know the answer but as you are unchecking the boxes IMO this ought not be happening so I suggest you contact Staff > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  If you use Publicize, it will do it every time. If you don’t want to post it all to FB and Twitter, don’t use Publicize, just post the links yourself by hand.

  Thanks, I just have to delete the message box in order for it to work. Kind of annoying, I think I will just opt-out completely.

  There are other methods of posting to Facebook. One that many wordpress.com users use is using http://getsociallive.com bookmarks.
