publicizing

I’m confused exactly what publicize does. I want my followers to be able to share my posts on THEIR facebook and twitter pages, but I don’t want them on MY facebook pages. This is b/c I don’t want my friends and family constantly getting updates from my site. The blog is kind of my personal blog and I don’t want everyone I know on there judging what I post ( if that makes since) It’s kind of like my place to get away. SO, how can I get my blog out their more without posting everything on MY facebook page? Thanks so much!

By (them) in the second sentence I mean I don’t want my posts on my personal facebook page. I also don’t want all my followers to have access to my facebook page.

I have but I am still confused at exactly how it works. Like, if I publicize on facebook what facebook page does it go to? Then, to try out sharing I added the facebook share button to my page and shared it myself, and I didn’t really understand what happened. it didn’t show up on my personal website. So, where was it shared?
