Publicizing on Facebook

  Hi – whenever I create a new post, it is publicized on Facebook twice. How do I stop one of them?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I took a look at your Facebook page. It looks like you have a connection set up between Twitter and Facebook. What’s happening is that your Publicize settings here at WordPress.com are publicizing your post to both Facebook and Twitter. Then, because of the the connection between Facebook and Twitter, your tweet is also being posted to Facebook. That makes your blog post show up twice.

  To fix this, you could disable the Publicize connection to Facebook (so only the Twitter post is reposted on Facebook). Another option is to disable the connection you have between Facebook and Twitter so the publicized Tweet isn’t reposted to Facebook.

  Rachel – That explains it. I disconnected the direct link with Facebook. And it worked! Many thanks.
