Is publicizing on Facebook broken?

  Hi,

  I’ve enabled the “publicize on facebook” feature. I’ve checked my application settings on the Facebook side and it is clear that WordPress.com has all permissions. However, WordPress keeps telling me that I need to link my account to Facebook, select ‘ok’ a few times:

  To enable Publicize: Facebook, you will need to authorize your WordPress.com account on even function to connect with your Facebook account.

  Clicking the link below will take you to Facebook where you will need to log in and click “allow” several times.

  [[Authorize connection with Facebook]]

  However, clicking the link just redirects me to the same “Edit Post” page I came from.

  Please help? Most of my readers are just people who troll my facebook wall.

  Can you please go to the Settings → Sharing section of the dashboard, disconnect your Facebook account from there, then reconnect it from the same page and test it again?

  Fixed it (though not in a way that illuminates why it was ‘broken’ in the first place):

  I disconnected from both the facebook and wordpress sides, then reconnected from the WordPress side. Only then did I actually need to “click ‘allow’ several times,” that is, basically, add the WordPress app to my Facebook account.

  Previously, WP already had permissions to my Facebook account.
