Publicizing to Facebook on Multiple Accounts
-
I have a staff of writers for a high school, student-run newspaper at http://www.rhinopress.org and I want to allow each person to publicize their writing to their own Facebook accounts but every time I click “Add New” on the Sharing Facebook button, it only shows my account and my Facebook page, and I can’t add their Facebooks.
Could you help me resolve this issue?
Thank you,
Jessica
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jessica,
This is definitely possible. However, the students will need to setup the Publicize option on their individual accounts. You will not be able to set it up for each individual student from your master account. To set this up, follow these steps:
- First, you’ll need to make sure that each student is at least Author role or above:
- Next, have the students log-in to their account
- After they are logged in, have them navigate to your Dashboard found here:
- From that page, they should go to Settings -> Sharing
- At the top of the page, they will be able to connect their social media accounts. Click on “Connect” next to the sharing service they want to enable. They will need to login to their own accounts. If someone is already logged on to Facebook, they will need to logout and then login when the window opens after they click “Connect”.
- As they are connecting to the service, please make sure the option for “Make this connection available to all users…” is unchecked
Now, when they post from their account, their posts should only be publicized to the connections that they setup (not the connections setup by the other students).
Can you give that a try and let me know if you run into any trouble?

Thank you so much, it works! I was logged on in another window, so that was the only issue. And I am a high school student myself, so I apologize for the kind-of simple question.
Thank you,
Jessica
