OK, so to make things even stranger, over half my photos disappear from the site on Firefox, but not on Chrome. On Chrome, all the photos are in their right places. However, I still can’t post text or photo with either browser.

Please read what Staff (macmanx) posted above and act on it.
If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
If you are, please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:
http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If it’s still happening, let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using.

OK I have done everything suggested and then some. Spent a couple hours and still get the unknown_blog message when I try to post!

I have the same problem – any update from WordPress re this as this is obviously a site issue?

Seems like it! Ug! I have been clearing space on my computer and thought that was the problem, but it appears to have happened to others as well. Let’s hope they get it fixed ASAP!

So far, one user was able to resolve this by updating her version of Chrome.
If you have an updated browser, and are still running into trouble at http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ please let us know specifically which blog you’re posting to, and specifically when you run into the error.
For now, folks are reporting success when posting from Posts -> Add New in their blog’s Dashboard.

One possibility, when using http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ make sure that you select a blog from the drop-down menu to the left of the “Publish Post” button.

I’m getting this too. I would suggest there is a problem with wordpress, NOT browsers. [2]
