Publish button disappeared

Hi!

About a half an hour ago the publish button disappeared from the manage > edit > post option. Now there’s just a large save button instead.

Tried that with both Firefox 2.0 and Opera 9.02

Is this an upgrade? Because I liked the way the publish button used to function. When you click this, it’ll send you directly to the manage posts screen to continue editing more posts.

I discovered that the “Publish Button” disappeared only in 6 posts I edited today. The others have the traditional save & publish buttons.

Previosuly I tried the delete cache + cookies, ctrl+f5, using opera 9.02

I’m sorry it isn’t working well for you perezrios. :(
I turned away from the dark side i.e. using the text rich editor months ago. I have two big buttons like Mark describes on the ordinary editor and both are working well. If you have a lot to post and time is of the essence then perhaps turning TinyMCE off and using the ordinary editor is the way to go for now.

It isn’t working for me either. All I get is one large Save button. I understand that the post being edited has already been published, but it is useful to go to the post itself instead of staying on the edit page indefinitely.

Today. Again. Just One Large Save button (instead of the traditional Save & Publish buttons when editing posts). Why? Never happened to me before, except yesterday, of course (+220 posts).

Note that I understand that if I edit published posts from past I will only get the Save button.

I also understand that posts for the future show the Save & Publish buttons.

But, why is that I having this sense of things running abnormal?

I’m pretty sure that when editing posts several times a day (say, I update everyday 6 posts every 3-4 hours) I always get the Save & Publish buttons. But, since yesterday I’m having trouble with this.

So, am I going crazy? Why just raincoster and I noticed that?

I noticed it also, but so many strange things have been happening and mysteriously changing with no notice that I’ve given up trying to get any help. WP posting has been a very frustrating experience lately….And everyone tells you how to work around a problem instead of helping to get it fixed!!

I can not publish anything!!! There is only a save button and my post turned immediatly into a draft. HELP!!!!

Don’t panic – you have a draft. Can you find your feedback button on the top right hand corner of any blog page and send a feedback to staff? If not then send an email to support @ this domain.

Also, if you open the Draft, does it show a Publish button there? Or Save And View? Sometimes there’s a backdoor way to do things. Definitely send a feedback, though.
