publish button missing
-
The Publish and Preview buttons have disappeared from the bottom of each page, also the choices for draft/pending, public/private, etc. And yes, I have administrator access.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Log out, clear your browser cache and cookie, restart your browser and then try again.
Also, with the post editor page open go to screen options at the top right of the page and make sure the “publish” section is checked.
-
I deleted the temporary Internet files and cookies (is that what you mean by clearing the browser cache?), logged out, and restarted my computer. No luck. Also (and this is where the paranoia starts to kick in), in Screen Options, there is no Publish box to check!
Is it possible I’m locked out by WP?
-
OK I see they have taken that out of the screen options which is actually a good idea.
What browser and browser version are you using?
Have you tried a different browser?

Thanks SacredPath. FYI, the contact URL is now http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/.

WordPress support responded in record time. They reset my Screen Option to 2 columns and the Publish module magically appeared. I’ve had it set at 1 column since the beginnning with no problem so I don’t know why it happened all of a sudden!
I’ve reset it to 1 column. If that makes it disappear again they should remove the 1-column option!

It redirects just fine – at least for me.
The 1 column option is for people using low resolution monitors so that the side modules aren’t partially hidden and also to allow people to have a wider post text area if they want it.
I’ve set mine back and forth from 1 to 2 several times on 2 of my test blogs and it all works fine. Not sure what the issue is with yours.
