Publish date
-
The last few posts I published had the wrong publish date. I clicked “Publish Immediately” when I published them; however, the dates were listed as a few days or weeks before. So I had to edit the publish dates to the correct ones. Can you tell me why this is happening?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It sounds like there might be a glitch when you publish these posts — if the post is set to “Publish immediately,” then the publish date should be the date you publish the post.
Can you send me links to some of the posts where this happened? Did you start writing a draft of the post a few days or weeks before you published it?
Also, can you tell me how you originally started writing the post? (Did you do it by clicking on “New Post” on WordPress.com, by going to Posts > Add New in your dashboard, or some other way like in a WordPress mobile app?)
That information will help us investigate the issue. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. This issue began happening about a month ago, affecting the publish dates of the last several posts, and here are some of the links:
Yes, I began writing them a week or more before and kept them as drafts prior to publishing them . And I started writing them by clicking on “add new” in my dashboard.
Also, I’ve been having an issue with my posts no showing up in the reader of people who are following my blog. I’m wondering if these two issues are related.
Thank you so much for your help!
Yumi

Additionally, when I try to search my recent posts by entering “tag” they don’t come up.
For instance, if I enter “Kamakura” which is a tag for my most recent post called “Kamakura, a day trip from Tokyo to ancient Japan” (http://wp.me/p3PGbl-dZ) it does not come up.

Hi Yumi,
Thank you for the additional information. It’s possible that the issue with the publish date on your posts is affecting how they appear in the reader. There isn’t anything else on your recent post (the one tagged “Kamakura”) that would explain why it isn’t showing up under that tag in the reader.
Can you try something for me? The next time you are ready to publish a post, please try clicking the Save Draft button first and wait for the page to reload. Then, click the Publish button. This should force the post to use the current date instead of the older date.
Please let me know if that helps! If the publish date is still wrong, or if the post doesn’t show up correctly in the reader, let me know and I can keep investigating this for you.
