Publish date seems to be wrong
-
I just published a post, i.e., today at 06-Aug-2014.
For unknown reasons the post shows a publication date of 10-Jul-2014. The WordPress reader also sorts it according July. But clearly Publicize on Facebook et al. shows that the post is indeed brand new.

Not that this issue really bothers me, but apparently the publication date is plain wrong.
Maybe others have observed some similar behaviour.

It sounds like you created a draft post on the earlier date and the datestamp was not updated when you published. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Thanks!
Yes, I usually write my articles first. I then let them mature for some days or weeks, polish them and then publish them. In this case the draft was indeed from 10-July.

Okay then that explains it. Now you know it’s critical to check the datestamp before publishing a post.
