Publish Date Wrong

  Hello! I was wondering if anyone would be able to assist me in an issue my site is facing. The publish dates of my articles is correct but for some reason when you visit my site the date that is listed next to their titles is wrong and happens to be the most recent time that they were “edited” or “modified”. How do I stop this from happening and make sure it only displays the first time it was published. It used to do so but now that I have a new template things seem to be changing. Can anyone help? Thanks!
