Publish Dates Help

    I need help with my publish settings! I keep my blog as a requirement for my masters program. When I publish my posts, the date on the blog site view is not the date that I posted it, even when it says publish immediately. When I look back at my posts from my end it says the original post date, but the site view has a different day. It is making it seem like my posts are happening a day late and my professor is grading me down it! Help! Why is it doing this?
