Publish does not work after I create a post, Cannot save a draft

I created a new post but now the publish function does not work. The word “publish” displays, but the functionality that goes with it is gone. I cannot even save a draft. I am the administrator of this blog. I created the blog and there has never been any other user of any kind for this blog. What is happening?

using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable vesrion (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

trying another browser like Firefox or Safari
