"Publish" evidently now means "Delete"

This has happened before, but not after so many attempts. I wrote nearly 800 words this morning and when I hit “Publish”, it deleted all content. The title and photo are still there, but all the copy is gone.

I went into the “revisions”, but they all show “0” word count as well.

I have copy and pasted new content into this post, but every time it gets deleted as soon as I hit “Publish” or “preview”.

The post is about generalizations and how it’s wrong to make assumptions about people based on their religion. I’m wondering if I’ve been auto-censored because the words “Muslim”, “Jew” and “Christian” are in the opening paragraph.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and select full accesibility mode. Then include the post revision module.

Posts – Post Tags, Categories, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments, Post Slug, Post Author, Post Revisions

Look for the draft post again and see if there is now a post revision.

Full recovery process > Recovering a lost blog post or page

We Volunteers always recommend clicking “save draft” as soon as we have entered a couple of lines on a new post so the autosave feature kicks in. We would never type 800 words without clicking “save draft” as our internet connections could be interuppted at any time or our browsers could “burp” or whatever. Another thing we recommend is using an offline blog editor like Windows Live Writer or Ecto to create posts and pages and publish them to the blog.

When I went to “Screen Options, these were the only options available:
    Right Now
    Recent Comments
    Your Stuff
    What’s Hot
    QuickPress
    Recent Drafts
    Stats
    Screen Layout
    Number of Columns: 1 2 3 4

I recovered the draft; what’s stumping me is that every time I copy and paste it into the post (the title is always saved), when I hit “Update” or “preview”, it deletes it all over again. This is my 37th post; I’ve never had this problem so consistently!

@howhardcoulditbe-The screen options tt refers to are found in the Post Editor screen. It looks like you are referring to the Dashboard homepage screen. Screen options vary depending on what page you are presently on.

your post deleted because it contains about religion maybe ?

@kevindasilva11, that has absolutely nothing to do with it. If you were trying to be funny… not funny.

@howhardcoulditbe, try this test. Start a new post, put in the title and then click save. After it fully saves, then paste your content in.

Also, where are you copying and pasting from?

    I figured it out:
When I use a photo from my own collection, everything is fine. If I try to swipe an image from the web and “copy image” and drop it into my post, it deletes everything when I hit “save draft” or “Update”.

Yes, I realize that swiping photos from other sites is a no-no, I am now extending my hands for my knuckle rapping.

    Thanks, everyone!
