‘publish immediately’ not working
-
Hi there. I’m having a problem with the ‘publish immediately’ function and was hoping someone could tell me how to fix it. My blog coincides with my podcast which coincides with my radio program, and the idea is to have the blog post itself the moment my radio program begins at 5:30pm Thursdays PST. I tried it last week and the blog didn’t publish, and I realized after the fact that the time settings for my blog were off. When I tried it again yesterday, I made sure the time I set it to publish was 17:30 and the date was correct. But it still didn’t publish at 5:30pm PST. It didn’t publish at all, and I had to go in this morning and manually publish it. When I go back and check what time it published, it says it published yesterday at 5:30pm! Weird.
I wonder if maybe I’m misunderstanding the use of this function or maybe I’m doing something else wrong. Anyone know anything about it?
Thanks for your help!

I click Save. Should I try Publish? I figured clicking Publish would actually publish it at the moment I click it, not Save it. Ah … I think you’re right!

If your timestamp is in the future, publish will ensure it’s published then. Save always just saves.
