Publish Post but Reverts back to Draft
-
I have had the same thing happen the last two weeks but never before. I open a draft post, edit it, then publish the post. It says it is published but a strange statement says, “You have published your 1st post.” This blog has hundreds of posts though.
When I go to the blog itself, the post is not published and shows as in draft mode in the dashboard. No changes save either when I go back into the draft.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The browser is not my issue. I edit and post for my company. The person who wrote the original post is logged in. That wasn’t an issue before but now it won’t accept any other updates if they forgot to log out.
If they draft a post and forget to log off at work it doesn’t tell me that. It lets me subsequently make changes and then says I have posted my first post on a site that has hundreds of posts. When I go to the actual blog, the new post is not published and in draft mode via dashboard.
Since I take drafts, edit them, and then publish them I do not know if they successfully logged out. I have done this for years and has never been an issue until the last two weeks. It seems the last edit timestamped would take precedence. Last night I had to make them drive 30 minutes to their office computer to log off physically before I could get the post to publish.

When creating the posts, where are you/they starting it initially? Are you/they using “Quick Draft” on the WordPress Dashboard, or
Posts > Add New(/wp-admin/post-new.php), or a different method?
