Publish post without sending e-mail to followers

This is a thing we need. Sometimes the preview test is just not enough. For example, testing a password-protected page. You have to publish it so you can hit it incognito and actually get the password prompt.
I’m sure there are other situations. But generally, it seems sensible to me that we should be able to publish things in “test mode.”
Speaking of which, how’s about giving us an option to use test mode at Stripe? Presently there is no way to test a purchase chain without actually spending money. We should be able to use test cc numbers… Is that something available with the woo commerce plugin if I upgrade? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can set your site to “private” or “coming soon” temporarily and this will allow you to publish a post without it going out to subscribers. You can also try setting up your tests as “pages” instead of as “posts”
Pages are not shared with subscribers (only posts are) so you can use pages as your sandbox, and if you are happy with the content you can then copy/paste all blocks into a blank blog post and it will use the same layout. Note that the password protection would not copy over so you would need to set the password for the post manually.

Yes if you were to upgrade to the Business Plan and use WooCommerce it does allow you to set up test cards. You would also have the option to use a 3rd party membership plugin (which may include it’s own payment processing) and the maker of the plugin may also offer a way to test payments.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
