  Note that the date is embedded is every post URL and that cannot be changed. Aside from that reality, the only way to do what you want to do requires purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ and doing the required CSS editing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
