“Publish” Stage No Longer Gives Option To Not Share Automatically On Socials

Hello. Up until recently, whenever I got to the “Publish” stage with a post, I had the option to share that specific post to my socials or not. This is something I made use of constantly, since I only want about half my posts automatically shared. But the option is gone. I can still choose whether or not to send an email newsletter or post to Telegram or not (since I use a plugin for that last one), but I can no longer choose to not post to Mastodon. Everything just posts.
Any idea why this option disappeared?

Do you mean the toggle to switch off all sharing or only to certain social media platforms? It looks like the screenshot in the support doc is out of date. This is what I see in my Jetpack sidebar

To only send to certain social media platforms, click the icon for the social media platform that you don’t want to share to to disable it.
If you meant something else, please share a screenshot of your Jetpack sidebar.

Hi @squelfland – just as @justjennifer mentioned, you’ll want to look within your Jetpack sidebar, which can be viewed if you click this icon at the top-right: https://d.pr/i/V0LpW3
That should bring up your share options. From there you can click on Mastodon to toggle-off or -on the share, and click the plus icon to connect and share to other socials. Let us know if that doesn’t help get this back on track for you. :)

Hi @deancroyal, I used to see what Jennifer pointed out, but I no longer have it. It just disappeared one day. This is all I see. I’ve double checked that my Mastodon connection is working –indeed, the post does get shared, I just don’t get the toggle to choose whether or not it does.
(Sorry I didn’t reply sooner, I have the “notify me of new replies” checked, and in the past, I always got notifications, but I didn’t get them for either of your responses).

Whoops… okay, I see it now. Sorry about that. It’s just annoying that it moved… used to be in the same place. :( an extra step now. Thanks for the help!

Ah, yes, it does seem like things are moving around with the latest version update. Glad we could help.
(FWIW-The forum new reply notifications by email seem to have stopped working for me, too. Now it’s only the bell icon if I’m online or pings in the Jetpack app.)
