Published blog but it didn't share to Facebook
-
I published my blog. I checked my Twitter, it was there. I checked my Facebook and it wasn’t. Every other post has been fine and it hasn’t been a problem. I did recently switch it from posting to my wall and now it posts to my page but the first post I wrote since then went exactly where it was supposed to. I was messing with the sharing last night but just to add a smart print button. I didn’t touch my Facebook settings. Is this just a fluke? Or did I mess something up?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you using Publicize? If so this happens frequently have you tried reconnecting? Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.

OK, just checked my post again in the dashboard and you were right. In Publicize, for some reason my Facebook was disconnected. Thanks!

I use Publicize and I have tried reconnecting twice and still my post does not go to Facebook. It works well on twitter. I have not messed with the settings and previous posts went trough fine – Please help.

We Volunteers cannot help you. We do not have backend access to blogs. If the reconnect process does not work your have three options:
1. Contact Staff as only they can apply technical fixes to Publicize.
2. Use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook.
3. Post your blog post title links and snippets manually to Facebook. -
To contact Staff here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

I’m in the same situation here, nice to see that I’m not the only one. One issue is that wordpress.com support is down till Monday :(. Guess I’m gonna have to use networkblogs for the time being.
-
Please try the full reconnect procedure outlined at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook (especially step 3) and let us know how it goes!
-
I am having the same problem except that I went through the full reconnect procedure 5 times now and it’s still not working. Everything looks great until I go to make a post and it asks to “authorize” connection to facebook. Once I do this it says connection was successful but it doesn’t add facebook to my list of publicized items. Instead it just asks to authorize again. This has been happening for several days now. Please help!

This area of WP is new to me. What do you mean by “manually share”?
Let me give you a synopsis of what I’m trying to do while you’re available. ideally, I want my WP posts from my “Spine Strong” blog to publish on my Spine Strong FB page and my personal wall. Since the publicize feature seems to only allow one or the other, I was setting up my spine strong blog to publicize on my “Spine Strong” page and my “Traveling Chiropractor” blog to publicize on my personal FB wall. This obviously would require me to double post the same post on both blogs. Is there a better way to do this?

Use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls.

I visited networkblogs but oddly they don’t give any description as to what the service is or how it works. And when I click on the “let’s get started link” I am unable to connect to the site. I think I’d like to try to figure out how to make this work within wordpress first. Thank you though.

RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls.
RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.
You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

Many people use RSS Graffti and tell me they have no trouble using it at all. You’re welcome and best wishes for a happy ending. :)

This area of WP is new to me. What do you mean by “manually share”?
Basically, just post the link to Facebook. Does it allow you to do that, or does it say that your site is blocked?
-
timethief…..I’m on RSS graffiti and it’s asking for the URL of my RSS/ATOM feed. I’m sure this is a silly question, but is this the URL of my blog, or the specific page my posts are located, or something else completely? Thank you!
