Published Blogs Visibility

The issue I am asking about isn’t with my content blog, I also have a photo blog that the visibility issue happens to as well.

First, I do not use any of the options to publish my blog at a designated time or on a specific day, I tried that once and my post never published, so I unpublished it reset the timing to be immediate and published it myself.

Recently a follower told me happened, I’ve suspected has been happening. He told me two days ago that when I published my blog it didn’t appear on the Reader page, he only knew of my blog posting because he happened to subscribe to email notification.

This has happened before and I thought I’d done something wrong. When I’ve published a post for either of my blogs there are many times when they don’t appear on the Reader page. I do not publish them on the same day or even in the same month. I’ve unpublished several blog posts and published them a second, even third time and they don’t appear on the reader.

Is there something I can do on my end to correct this problem?

    Thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi!

So for posts that miss the publish time, just visit the site and it should automatically publish. And that will clear up as your site gets more traffic.

Re: a post from two days ago, the most recent I see is from August 11. Can you send a link to the affected post?

This is the post that a follower advised me didn’t show up in the blog roll reader.

  • Hi there,

I am currently seeing no issues regarding your posts showing in the Reader. Please reach out to us the next time you post and we’ll check the Reader on this end to see if that post shows up.

As @supernovia mentioned, any new scheduled post you publish won’t show up on your site until the first visit after the post is made.

Scheduled posts will be triggered by the first visit to your blog on or after the exact date/time you set. If you see that the scheduled time has come and gone and your post or page has not been published, log out of WordPress.com and view your blog’s front page. Your visit should cause the post or page to appear.

So, visit your site once the post is published and then check the Reader to see if the post appears – also, feel free to reach out to us once the post is published.

    Thanks!
