Published date vs. edited date

    I periodically edit/update posts, but the posts still display only the original date of publication, and no notification is sent out that the post was updated. Is there a way to get the date to reflect the date it was last modified, rather then the day it was published, other than deleting and reposting?

    A new Post is the only way to notify subscribers –

    you can change the date to a new date for a published Post if my memory is correct – but that will not generate a new email to subscribers AND it will break any links to the old Post in search engines and any of your folks that have bookmarked the original Post

    You can ReBlog a Post once if you want – the other option is to update the original Post – then make a new Post with a short note the older info has been updated with a link to the original Post – the old Updated Post can be made Sticky to put it at the top – you can put a link in the Sidebar to the updated Post
