Published post disappeared

  Hello,

  I published a post this morning and noticed it was gone. This was published on my computer.

  Just a few minutes ago (before I refreshed the WordPress app on my phone) I saw the blog post on my dashboard but when the app refreshed it was gone just like it’s gone on the desktop.

  Can someone help?

  I also see that the photo I used for the post is still in my Media… so it had to have been published. No idea what happened as I did not touch the website/blog since.

  Before we move forward with debugging, I want to clarify that http://www.hellosuji.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) site. It’s not a WordPress.com site.

  Ideally your login dashboard would be http://www.hellosuji.com/wp-admin

  Although, you are having an active Jetpack integration and it means that you can manage your site at https://wordpress.com/ too.

  1. Do you see the post on this blog section of your site?
  2. Can you check if the post is available on the trashed section, in case you accidentally deleted it?

  Just because the media is available on the media gallery, it does not mean that the post should still be published. Any posts can be deleted at any time and the files in the media gallery can continue to exist.

  Let me know if you see them on the blog or trashed section and I can assist further.

  Thanks for your response. I remember checking the blog and seeing the post published. I also checked the trash bin and there’s nothing there. Even created a test post and trashed it to see if for some reason other old trashed posts would come up and did not see anything.

  I’m the only one who has access to the admin panel so I’m not sure what could have happened…

  While I’m disappointed the post disappeared I’m more worried this might happen in the future.

  To reiterate, http://www.hellosuji.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) site. I suggest you to ask for help on self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) forums.

  The current forums is for WordPress.com and I am afraid it cannot be of much help.
