Published post gone accidentally edited over with new post

First post I wrote on my blog is now gone, I wrote a new post over the it using WordPress app. On my iPad2. Yes I’m new and confused but I’d really like to think my first published post is out there somewhere and I want it back. Surely there is a way? Please if you can help me I’d be so happy. Thank you

Older versions of posts are likely to be deleted shortly after editing. But you might check for Google Cache and maybe the Wayback Machine is still running.

Another option is to regularly do an “export” under “tools” in your control panel. It’s a way to back up your blog in case of the worst of events. The file name automatically includes a date, so you can do this daily without having to juggle file names.

Check past revisions of the post in the Revisions module of the editor.
If you’re not seeing the Revisions module while on the post editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to activate it.
