  why does “edit this entry” always appear next to the welcome title and a hyper link back to my edit page? Why would I need this? and why would I want people accessing my editting page of my web page? I’ve tried for two hours to get rid of it

  Log out, then look at your blog. The “edit this entry” will be gone.

  You’ll only see “edit” when you are logged into a blog that belongs to you. Your readers won’t see it. And it’s there so that you can easily edit the post: see a typo, edit to change it immediately…
