publishing a poll from polldaddy to wordpress

i’m trying to publish a poll. it will not allow me. i figured out that i needed to be an editor to publish a poll. so, i went to user and tried to change my status and add editor to my administrator status thinking this would help. this did not work. i’ve looked around the web and found other wordpress users with the same problem. thanks for your help.

An administrator can create and publish a poll, I believe– I’m the administrator of my site and I’ve done it before. You can probably replicate your Polldaddy poll using the service adapted for WP.com. Go to your blog’s dashboard and click on “Add New” under “Polls” on the left. Once you’ve created your poll, go to “Edit” under “Polls,” click on “Share-Embed” under the poll, and copy and paste the WordPress Shortcode provided into the post or widget to which you want to add the poll.
