  I write a post and publish it but when I look at my Blog on another computer only title page is there, not the blog I have written. Am I missing some vital step?

  I have managed to publish it.

  but there is some text behind the main picture which I think is the default text from before I changed anything.
  And is there any way to have the posts arranged with oldest first?

  I’m sorry but it’s not possible to have oldest post first. It is permanently set to newest first as WordPress is essentially a blog (where people visit to see new posts first).

  However you can use the archives shortcode to display a LIST of posts in descending or ascending order –
