Publishing doesn't post anything on my blog.

I have written a post for. Log twice. I click on publish and I never see it in my posts. Help!

Hi, Julie. Hmmm… I see a post on your blog dated September 2, 2014, titled “A Sight to Behold.” Are there other posts you are trying to publish that you are not seeing?
Also, are you the administrator of the blog?

Hi Brian, Yes, I am the administrator of my blog (very new at this). I have written about this same photo at least 3 times (really witty blogs, IMO!). Once some days ago, which I clicked publish and never saw it again another time earlier today. Again I clicked publish and never saw it again. I thought maybe it needed time so I went to the store and returned, nothing. I selected image and publish and I believe that is the post that showed up. I went to edit and wrote another really nice post, clicked publish and nothing. I’m starting to think I should leave blogging for those more tech savvy thanI. :-/ Julie

Don’t give up, Julie. Blogging is for everyone. That doesn’t mean that there won’t be any bumps in the road, though! We’ll need some more information to figure this out.
First of all, go to your Dashboard, then “Posts,” then “All Posts.” Do you see the blog posts you are missing in the list, perhaps saved as “Drafts?”
Second, it may be a browser problem. What browser are you using? It may help to empty the browser cache and restart your browser.

I went to the dashboard, posts, all posts. Now there are 3 posts. The one of today is in the trash.
I am using an iPad mini. I don’t know what browser it uses, maybe Safari.? I don’t know how to empty the cache. Could you be so kind as to easily explain that to me? I know how to restart the computer/iPad. I posted the first 3 posts while at my desktop. I’ve never been successful posting from this iPad mini but it’s what I’ve got for the next 8 months. Thnx! -
I went to settings and under Safari, I deleted history and cookies and something else. Is that all I need to do to empty cache? :-)

Do not use the New Post button on the grey admin bar or the new editor. This error has been known at least a year. Use Classic Mode, always. If for any reason you can’t use it, use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk.

Brian, sorry but I had had enough for one evening and shut off the computer as I believe you suggested. I found the newer much reduced version of my post in the trash. I had found it there once before and restored it. I don’t know how it got there again. I did put a draft in the trash since a post of the same thing had been published. Could this be the problem? I maybe should not trash drafts of published posts.?
I still haven’t found my original fantastic post that I know my friends would find entertaining.

Raincoaster, thanks for the suggestions. I had switched to the newer version. I’ll try to switch back to classic, it did give me that option yesterday. I’ll plow on trying to blog, my friends are starting to ask where is all the news from Panama’ ? Thnx again. Julie
