‘Publishing failed’ notice

    Why did I get this message when I tried to post a piece of writing just now? ‘Publishing failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to assign the provided terms.’ What does ‘assign the provided terms’ mean?

    On which site is this?

    Copy your draft post into Notepad as a backup. Then log out, clear WordPress.com cookies in your browser, and log back in.

    Do you still get that error after doing that?

    If you do, please let us know what browser and operating system, including version number, you’re using.

    Are you using the editor at My Site ->Posts, or the one in WP-Admin?
