Hello, why did I receive the above message? I can’t find the answer on your forums.
-
Hi there,
What is the URL of the site you’re working on, and exactly what were you trying to do when you got that error?
-
I received the same message. Clicking the Publish button a second time (without making any other changes) resulted in success. Could this be a transient server problem?
-
This error can usually be solved by logging out and logging back in again.
Let us know if that works for you.
-
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, maybe some kind of temporary bug.
Logged off, logged back on a few hours later, no longer got that message.

Hi I was trying to publish my post. I had added categories and tags.
I logged off and logged back on later, redid the categories, left off the tags and the site let me publish. Was it the tags?Another question: how do I eliminate a category from my main page?
Here is the URL:
https://thankyouparis.wordpress.comThank again for getting back to me

Hi, no I don’t think it was the tags. That error is related to a login issue, so logging out and back in should fix it.
We’re also working to sort out why that is happening sometimes, but for now, if you see it, copy what you’re working on, log out, and log back in.
how do I eliminate a category from my main page?
Do you mean from the links at the top, or the full category listing on the side?
If you want to remove it from the full listing of categories, I’d suggest using a different widget, since that one shows everything. Or, you can delete the category here: https://wordpress.com/settings/taxonomies/category
