Publishing inconsistencies

When I publish a page, the margins and layout don’t look the same.

  • Hi there,

Can you tell me a bit more about the trouble you are having? Which site is this for? I see you have a few on your account.

Can I see this on your homepage?  Or is it a specific place I need to look at?

I’d like to visit the page directly and compare it to what is shown in the editor view. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hey there, thanks for offering to help. I took some screenshots to help explain what’s going on.

What’s the best way to post/send the pictures to you?

  • You can upload them to your Media Library and we’ll be able to view them.

Okay great, I have uploaded three pictures.

I don’t think they are in order, but one picture is in the normal edit format. the pictures are really wide and take up the whole screen, which is what I want. Also, the “learn more” more buttons are centered under the titles.

The next picture is after I click “preview”. Now there are big margins of white, and the pictures are smaller.

From here, when I select “visit site”, there are still large margins, and now the “learn more” buttons are aligned to the left.

So I was just wondering how to make my page look exactly how it looks in the edit screen. Or if that is not possible.

    Thanks for the prompt responses!

  • Hello there,

Many thanks for taking those screenshots.

When I took a look at the page, I could see that the buttons were left aligned in the editor.

I’ve just center aligned those and I can see that they are now aligned.

With regards to the large margins, it looks like that’s part of the theme design between blocks. Potentially, this could be solved with the premium theme and some custom CSS.

    I hope this helps,
