My posts won’t publish on my approved sites
My post today will not publish. It says it has published, but I have tried numerous times to find the post on all my sites. It has not, in fact posted.

It is exceedingly annoying that I spend time posting stuff and when I look at the website it is there but when I go back to the draft the words! photos etc are missing. Sometimes it is vice versa. Everything used to be fine on the old system – then I updated and bingo it went wrong. Can anyone help? Am I doing something wrong now? The blog is wastewarriors.wordpress.com.

We can’t help without a specific link to a post and the information of what it is missing and how you made the post in the first place.

If WP can connect with FB than an administrative “push notification” would be a good idea to give the authors a secondary chance to push their content to FB!

I wrote words. I pressed UPDATE and nothing happens. Then bits come back to the post and then disappear again. It is weird. Sometimes I can read it on the website but not on the main draft that I am using. I can’t tell you what words I wrote because they disappeared. When it happens next time I will copy it before I update to show you what I mean.

WHERE did you write those words? In the Quick Post (aka the New Post button on the grey admin bar)? Or on the Dashboard ->Posts->New Post page?
What browser and version are you using?

Too technical for me! Where do I find all that stuff. Please be patient and don’t shout. I have been using WordPress with no problem for years and this has only just started happening. I only use it I have no idea what to do if it does not work.
So here we go. I open my app on my iPad and where it says + beside posts I press the +, a new page comes up with title and I write the date. Then I write something in the body of the post and then I press PUBLISH. That seems to work OK. I maybe add a photo but I can no longer view that on my completed draft which I used to be able to do. I then press BACK to get back to my draft and add a bit more and press UPDATE and it does not seem to update my draft. However, if I close that app and open the Internet and Google in my wastewarriors.Wordpress.com Bingo! The words I wrote are there – but still not showing up on my draft. I continue typing and then sometimes stuff just disappears from the website AND the draft that I am writing. It is a mess. It has only just started happening in the last few days and I blog every day usually. That is about as clear as I can make it. What browser do I use? I am not sure. Google? Yahoo? I think. I am using the latest version of wordpress I think. This only started happening when I updated. Thanks for your time, patience and understanding but if you talk too much tech talk you will lose me. I do have an MBA and I have used computers for years but if they go wrong I don’t understand how to fix the problem!! Sorry!

Oh never mind, I see it.
I still can’t make out if you’re using the WordPress app on the iPad (it sounds like you are) or Safari browser. If you are using the app, try opening Safari and using your blog in the browser window instead of using the app.

What is version 3.8.3?
When you say in the other thread “my blog is not updating when I add something. However, when I go to the website it has updated there” what do you mean by the blog, as distinct from the website?
Give us a link to a post that is NOT updating on teh blog that IS updated on the website. Give us a link to the same post on the website.

That is the version of wordpress that is shown on the app. I have just typed the following and published it and it updated on my draft and the blog/website wastewarriors.wordpress.com:
Today is an important day to lay aside all our own troubles and focus on our servicemen and women around the world who are fighting to keep our country safe. As I am also British, I also pray for the B rikishi service personnel who do an amazing job to make this world a safer place.I hope that you will keep 2 minutes silence at 11am today. I understand that it has now been reduced officially to one minute but I still believe that 2 minutes is even too short a time to focus on our good fortune to live in a relatively safe society. Spare a thought also for the POLICE, FIRE and AMBULANCE personnel who also do a fantastic work to keep our country safe.
I received a great email this morning from my cousin’s wife in UK and I hope to have the technological savvy to be able to copy some of that here later.
The rain is easing so it is time to go for a very cold walk now but I will be back soon…

No one is going to go into your blog and do that editing for you. Let’s be clear about that.
