publishing new posts

Update: Using a Galaxy S-8 smart phone, I was able to access my blog, sign in and launch the home page.
After signing in, I “added” a new post, was able to load an image to the working document using a file in the media library. I then attempted to save the file and got a similar message to the one listed above:
This site can’t be reached
The connection was reset

No worries, your site was not hacked. It loads correctly and there shouldn’t be any problem with it.
When you mentioned you tried to publish a post from the smartphone, have you used a different internet source or were you connected to the same Wi-Fi? It would be really important to try doing it using only the mobile connection or using, for example, a library or coffee shop Wi-Fi.

The smartphone used the wi-fi from the same the wireless router that I’ve been using my notebook to access the internet.
I do plan to try a difference internet source later today.

Great, let us know how it goes after you’ve tried that :)

Update: I was able to use a different internet source other than the one in my home. Here are the findings:
1. I was able to access/open my website with no problems or delays.
2. I was able to upload photos to the media library and for the feature image.
3. I was able to save a post and publish it today. In other words, business as usual before this “problem” began in the last 4+ days.
Other than the problem I am having with WordPress, my internet service appears to be working and responding, as usual, to other programs that I use frequently including GMail, FaceBook, Instagram, Quora, Google, etc.

Thank you for all that information.
As @supernovia mentioned before, it’s likely some kind of firewall setting on the flex book itself. You’ll want to reach out to your internet source provider to solve that as it’s not something that we can fix on our end.
