  Is there a system problem? Problem with my post? This is not a very helpful message. How do I know what/where the problem is?

  I received no help either, but eventually it worked. Actually, I even had trouble posting to this, I’m surprised it finally went through.

  Hey folks, sorry you’ve had some trouble. The fact that this was consistent for both of you but cleared up on its own (I can see @jessjarecki
  published recently) makes me think it was a connectivity issue.

  Can you each let me know what browsers or apps you were using though, just in case?

  I was running FireFox (updated the day before) running on Windows 2007.

  @ supernovia: when i have it’s told me i need to register a new account. as opposed to using the one i already have which is this one.

  i think i am. the one i had for my xanga. but when i do it tells me either the username or the password is invalid it doesn’t say which one.
