publishing or saving a post

    I am writing a daily travel blog and publish it each night. Sometimes the wifi signal is not perfect but I can still access the internet , hotmail and gmail. However when I try and publish my blog its a constant fight against the wordpress website for it to happen. It either doesnt publish or wont save it meaning that I lose all that I have taken the time to write.
    I am not happy , this is not what I paid my money for. Why is the website so difficult to manage ? Why wont my posts publish or be saved ? I get a message to refresh. Where the hell is the refresh button ?
    I need some answers.

    First, I’ll address this question:

    Your refresh button is on your browser. You appear to be using Safari. Here is a thread on Safari’s website that describes how to refresh:

    If you are worried at all about your wifi connection, and have trouble publishing, you can use our Post By Mail feature. Here is information about how to do this:

    Could you please tell me if you’re using the classic manner of posting? Or are you using the new editor?

    You should choose the one that works best for you. You want to make certain that you’re using what makes you most comfortable.

    If you have specific problems with the post/publishing process, let me know the specific point which is a stumbling block. I can help talk you thought that.

    Finally, you might choose another browser. Every browser interprets websites slightly differently. You might like the way Chrome or Firefox works with WordPress.com better.

    thanks very much for your help. It seems that I am using Android 4 on my Samsung Galaxy tablet. I may change to Chrome to see if thats better.

    I was posting on the older version and have tried the new editor which was better but I also had a much better wifi signal as well.

    I am travelling in the Far East and the signal varies from place to place. I have posted every night for 50 nights, not always easily though, but this one time it just wouldnt do it so I was a bit upset

    I don’t blame you. I’d be really frustrated as well. If you have any struggles in the future, I highly recommend posting by email. It’s saved me when posting from remote areas with spotty wifi!

    Definitely use what works best for you. Give Chrome a try…and our mobile app is a possibility as well:

    If your wifi is not strong, I really think you should make sure your post is also saved locally on your tablet. I don’t want you to lose a single bit of your writing, or your images, because of bandwidth.
