Publishing Post onto Specific Pages

I am trying to create posts on two different pages (One page is my main blog and the other is my creative writing page). I published one of my post under a certain category in order to create a new page and it worked. However, that post is published on both my main blog and my creative writing page. How do I make it possible for posts to only publish onto one page instead of both?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey,

In homepage settings you need to set up your home page as a static page instead of your latest posts. Here is an article about it https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Hi there, It looks like you’ve almost got this set up on your site already.

By default, all posts will appear on the Posts page. There is no way to prevent that. However, you can keep the Posts page from displaying on your site by creating a Custom Menu to replace the one you have now and leave out the “What’s on My Mind” Posts page and only add Category pages to the Menu. Here’s more on creating a Custom Menu https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Note that Category pages will only appear once you have published a post in that category. Category pages are dynamic and created when someone clicks on the link to see them. More on that https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

Let us know how that goes.

If you are wondering how do you get rid of that big white header on category pages, that would require a paid upgrade to either the Premium or Business plan so you can edit your theme’s CSS.

Thank you so much! I think I am going to leave it as a Post page though since I do not like the big white header on Category pages.
