Publishing Post Takes Me To Preview Page

When I finish writing a post and click Preview Post, I get a version of my published blog that is obviously not the live version: it has links pointing to the left for the previous post, a link pointing down for comments, etc.

    So far, so good.

When I finish writing a post and click Publish, I also get the Preview Post view. And this is not so good. Because it’s not the real published page, and in order to *get* the real published page, I have to go *back* to the Dashboard and click View Site. There is no mechanism on the Preview Page view to get directly to the site view.

I would like to be able to click Publish and NOT have WordPress take me to a preview view. Is there any way that I can do this? I have searched in vain for something that looks like the option I seek — can’t find it.

The symptoms you are describing are not the usual WordPress behaviour. Normally when you press preview it will take you to the post so you can see it. Hitting “publish” should publish the post and return you to the write post window so you can write another post if you want.

    What browser are you using?

I’m just wondering: Was there some adjustment made on the administrative side of WordPress (as opposed to the blogger side)? Because the problem I was having as described above isn’t happening anymore. Now, when I click on Publish it works as cornell above said it should.

    I’m mystified.
